The One Where I Extol my Love of Anthropologie...Again

 Wildfield Bedding

Have I mentioned how much I love Anthropologie?  I realize I'm just another voice in a crowd about this one, but how I love it so.  And while I am grateful to have most of my favorite clothes in my closet from Anthro, my favorite things at the store are in their home section.

I had my eye on this quilt for quite awhile. Isn't it delicious?

Then my parents gave me a lovely CASH gift for Christmas and I knew what I had to do.  HELLO quilt, my love.

Sitting on my bed.  It is actually an oversize Queen that SOMEHOW fits my King size bed perfectly with generous fabric to spare.  How did this happen?  I don't know but my husband and I love cuddling up in it at the end of the day.  That's right; my husband loves it as much as I do.  Win Win all around.

A See Through Pool

Well, this is the coolest pool I've ever seen.

I think in the dictionary under "clean lines" this would be the perfect visual entry.

Beautiful COLOR

If you know anything about me, you know that I am a great lover of 1) bright colors and 2) vibrant prints.  And when both are combined it makes my heart soar.  So here are a few things that are making my heart happy lately!

Sublime in every way...from ABC Carpet and Home

This beauty is from my favorite store in the entire world, ABC Carpet and Home in NYC.  Love the mix of prints, the scalloped back and perfectly turned feet.  LOVE.

Bottle cap table. Sweet.

An amazing bottlecap pattern tabletop.  This is totally doable as a DIY.

I'm always a sucker for a tufted couch and with these prints all colliding together, well - it makes me happy.  Plus it looks very comfortable and isn't that what is most important in a couch?

Luxe Diamond High Heels

And finally, I know this isn't furniture or a room...but the exquisite combination of sparkles makes my heart sing.  I would wear these in a heartbeat.

Chandelier

I change up my kitchen chandelier a few times a year.  This is January...

(small bird nest and eggs - actually a Christmas ornament)

There is a combination of silver stars from Restoration Hardware, small beaded lanterns, oragami made by a friends daughter, a paper machee skull I found in the Dominican Republic and strands of fabric beads from India.

This is my "Shop Local" girl from Anthropologie.  I never change her out.

A New Rug

Well, not super new (I bought this back in early November).  I had looked long and hard for a new rug for our living room and came up empty handed for months.

Finally, I was walking through our local Target and discovered this beauty:

It fits our room perfectly.  You know how you are looking for a new rug/couch/lamp/etc. and at the end of the day you don't know what you want but that when you find the EXACT thing you will know it? That is this rug.

AND...my husband likes it as much as I do.  Win Win all around.

A Little Sparkle?

http://www.urbankitchenandbath.com/images/Testimonials/Maulucci/5.jpeg

I would LOVE to do this on our backsplash...

You see a lot of tiled backsplashes but rarely something like this, right?  Looks easy enough to tackle.

And here is another use of sparkle in your home: the penny floor!

DIY Penny Floor via Revolver
Yesterday I posted about a penny table, today I came across this penny floor. I applaud anyone who has the patience to do this to a floor!

I have always wanted to do this.  But maybe in a small room, like a powder room?  Anything larger feels a bit overwhelming.

So think about adding a little sparkle to your otherwise utilitarian surfaces!

Make-up on Magnets

OK, this is brilliant.  Simple to execute but such a great idea, especially if you have some wall space in your bathroom, bedroom or closet where you get ready.

The website appears to be in Russian (?) but the photo steps give you all the info that you need.

I have a wall in my bathroom that is crying out for this awesome DIY idea.  January project perhaps!
